For those of you living in the states, happy Independence Day! I'm personally flying to New York City in less than two hours (it's one AM as I write this) - I haven't slept yet!  Sorry, this is a day late, but I only just saw it on Bulbanews. Anyway, The Pokemon Company is breaking out with a brand new line of Pokemon clothing, different from the Pokemon stylings you may be used to, as this brand of clothing, being called, 'Pokemon 151' will be aimed for a more mature and adult audience (no, that doesn't mean it's a t-shirt with Pikachu smoking a cigar). Already, the Pokemon Center in Japan has begun selling four shirts from this brand featuring Hypno, Mewtwo, Articnuno and Cubone. An official website for the new clothing line up will be available by Thrusday at pokemon151.jp.   Click on the thumbnails to zoom.

Evolution Cloud // New Layout!

I liked our old layout but it was just getting old. So, way over due, our latest design is now up and public! Version, Evolution Cloud is now live and you'll see a variety of new features as well as differences to our past layouts. For one, most of my designs are built to sit on the far left of the screen, this one is in the center and is a bit more compact. Also, you'll find that this front page (where you are now) is the only page with a right sidebar (points right). One of our biggest changes is the official debut of our mascot, Eevee. And yes, I know Eevee has nothign to do with the sky, but I made up my mind on the matter of Eevee as a mascot years ago, but I never really announced it, however Eevee has appeared on a number of past layouts, but this time we're officially bringing him out! While we're at it, his nickname is Skylar (respectfully). By tyhe way, if you haven't figured it out by now, the Pokemon on a mini cloud is our official site logo/crest.  The right sidebar in itself is featuring a nice little change. We now have large button for both our Forums and Oekaki there. Also, there are two completely new features there. A mini Updates box that'll give you a very small rundown of minor changes on the site. At the bottom, you'll find a live update on our YouTube Channel (which I made public almost a year ago, but I haven't done anything with it, but I have some ideas for content on there now). Our YouTube Channel is officially called pkmnskyTV, in case you didn't know. Next is that our comments page will no longer load in an annoying popup, so when you make a comment you'll see what I mean. Last, I loved how our past layout corresponded with the day (changing from morning to night). I think it's a very cool feature and it certainly fits with our website. So, I've brought that over, but this time it's not advance. The banner will stay the same and the sky won't be changing hourly like it did last time. This time, the sky changes once and it's a simple change from the light blue sky to a dark blue sky with stars. No moon or sun to correspond with the day or anything else, it's just simple and fun. It also means that our site should load much quicker now that it doesn't rely on all of those heavy duty scripts to update the color banners and backgrounds. That's about it, and I'd love to see you guys comment in the comments of our news!

So, PokeJungle just posted a very nice and clear image of the new Pokemon Platinum box art. Paul of PJN was wondering if everyone else liked it, as it differs slightly from past box art. I personally think that it's cool - it uses a wider pallete of colors, so I give a big plus to that - so much better than the bland black background of Diamond and Pearl. You guys can give your thoughts too in the comments (we seriously don't get enough comments).

Shaymin.... Again

 Even more Shaymin news is popping up as this mysterious Pokemon seems to keep showing its face regardless of whether it's supposed to be or not. T his morning serebii is reporting that (of course) blue sKY spotted a rather clear picture of the new Shaymin forme (possibly the ground forme). This time, the images are appearing on buttons! Our good friends down at PJN are saying that these buttons were found in Yahoo Auctions, so someone clearly already had some Shaymin merchandising on hand. We'll update even more as it come!

Shaymin Strikes Back

 This one is coming off the desk of our partner and friend site, PJN who is reportinh this morning that a new image of Shaymin popped in on a Japanese Image board. It was spotted by blue SKY (who else?) and is now making its circulation around the internet. Where the image comes from is unclear and you can't even quite tell if its a picture of a piece of merchandizing or what. So, I think it's a good idea to keep this in the not-so-sure pile at the moment. So could this be the Shaymin Ground Forme?
