Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea is the ninth movie in the Pokemon Saga. Apart from that, it will forever be known as the first movie with the new english voice actors since Veronica Taylor, Eric Stewart, and Rachel Lillis.

 

This movie in the Pokemon Saga follows that of Manaphy, the prince of the sea, as well as some new characters such as the Pokemon Ranger Jackie, who's job it is to protect Manaphy from the evil pirate, Phantom, who seeks the Crown of the Sea so he can be dubbed the King of the Sea. Once again, Ash and his friends are pulled into a struggle between some of the most powerful forces on the face of his planet.

 

Each Pokemon film gets the treat to be host to one or two rare Pokemons. In this film those Pokemon are, Manaphy and Kyogre. Below is their roles in the movie.

 

Manaphy - "The Prince of the Sea," is sought after by the evil Phantom, a priate who will stop at nothing to get his hands on the Sea Crown. His plan is to capture Manaphy and use its homing beacon to locate the Temple of the Sea and retrieve such a crown. However, many of Phantom's attempts are failed as Manaphy forms a mother/daughter relationship with May.

 

Kyogre - This titan has a short role in the movie and only appears after Ash restores the crown jewels. After this, he helps in the defeat of Phantom and disappears.
