Darkness.

What is called the space time riff is shown, flashing = images of Dialga and Palkia.

A new scene opens.&nb= sp; A man reads an entry from what appears to be the diary of someone na= med Cody.  The computer next to him begins to flash stressing readings, and soon, we see D= ialga and Palkia fighting in a dark abyss.

The fight wears on, and the two both use their shining= orbs to unleash powerful attacks on one another, and then, an old fashioned sand timer falls to the ground, and breaks.

Thus opens,

Pokemon the Movie: The Ris= e of Darkrai!

Ash, Brock, and Dawn are now traveling along a path, t= owards Alamos Town, ready for battles and Pokemon Contests, only to find th= emselves at a dead end, in front of a large lake.&n= bsp; Far in the center, there is a town on an island.  They went the wrong way.

Suddenly, a blonde girl with a sma= ll Chimar flys down upon the= m from a hot air ballon.  She introduces herself as Alice.  Brock immediately throws a fit ove= r her beauty.

Alice agrees to take them over to the island in the hot air balloon, telling them about her work as a tour guide, and a music student.  She pulls out a whistle and begins= to play, causing all sorts of flying Pokemon to fl= y by side them.  Through the Pokemon, she is shown which way the wind is blown.

Not too far off, in a mass of balloons, Team Rocket is spying upon them, only to be bothered by a chim chime, and eventually causing the Pokemon to get annoyed.  In the frustration, = Team Rocket are blasted off into the sky.

Ash and co. look down below.  They see two large towers, which a= re the Space Time Towers.  The right tower represents time, a= nd the one on the left, represents space. Without warning, a gust of wind hurtles = the balloon forward.  Luckily, no = one is hurt.

Back in a lab, the man who was reading the diary detec= ts some odd readings from his computer.

After the odd gust of wind, the group decides to go in= to the city.  There they enter all so= rts of battles and meet many new faces while taking part in local activities.

Afterwards, Alice takes them into a garden.  She explains that it was designed by Godi’s.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>  Soon, all sorts of Pokemon come out to greet them, mainly azurill, azumaril, and marill.  At the sight, they all unleash the= ir Pokemon to play with the garden = Pokemon.

In the fun, Piplup tries t= o snag some berries, only to have them snatched away by the other Pokemon, causing the electric garden Pokemon to fight wi= th the other Pokemon.

Alice quickly acts though by playing a small tune from a leaf, which seems to calm the Pokemon down.

Suddenly, a Galade falls f= rom the sky, telling Alice= that something is wrong deeper in the park.  They fallow the Pokemon, only to find many stone pillars knocked out.

Suddenly, a man named Alberto appears, telling them th= at it was the work of Darkrai, a Pokemon that gives you nightmares.

There is a disturbance in the bushes, and Roberto send= s out his Likiliki to attack.  It turns out to be the man in the lab.  Alice introduces him as Tonio, who informs them of the odd readings in the lab.

Tonio examines the fallen = pillars, and gets hurt.  Alberto sudden= ly tells Alice that he doesn’t have to be worried about Tonio, and then shows a romantic interest for her.  Brock gets upset.  However, Alice is bothered by this infatuation a= nd informs him that she is in love with Tonio, who= sees it as a joke.  She gets offend= ed by this, and he realizes it.

The black abyss appears again, Pa= lkia and Dialga are fighting yet again, surrounded b= y Unown.  Suddenly, odd waves rush through the garden.  Tonio recognizes them.

A black shadow begins to run through the garden, taint= ing everything it touches.

Suddenly, Darkrai emerges = form the fround saying, “Do not come here.”<= /p>

Alberto sends Likiliki aft= er Darkrai, but Darkrai is m= uch too fast and throws a shadow ball at Likiliki, miss= es and hits Ash instead, who is pulled into the black abyss.

Ash suddenly lands in an unlocate= d area of the park.  He calls ou= t for his friends, only to find Darkrai following him= , and then, he is encompassed by the darkness, where he catches glimpses of Dialga and Palkia.

Darkrai appears again.  Ash tries to send out Turtwig, only to find that the p= okeball won’t open.  He then, se= es Pikachu get sucked into a black hole.  Ash jumps in too, only to get shoc= ked.

He wakes up in a Pokemon = Center.  He realizes that Darkrai put him to sleep, causing the bad nightmare.

Tonio announces that he= 217;s off to look more into the problem, saying things to himself, and talking ab= out the old diary.

Laterthat night, fireworks= light up the sky.  Tonio, however, is more interested in the journal.  He realizes that Alice’s grandmother met Darkrai in a forest.

He has a flash back of Alisha struggling to help an in= jured Pokemon who was attacked by Dark= rai.  Then, an old man walks by the path, watches as Alisha plays music form a leaf.  He realizes that Alisha was being watched by the Darkrai.  Tonio = then reads that the old man, Cody, needed to leave Arasion<= /span>.

A new scene is shown.=   Alberto is being asked bh Team Rocket, who are disguised by TV reporters to be interviewed.  Alberto agrees, playing with a sma= ll model of the Town.

Later that morning, Dawn buys a dream catcher from a vendor.  While walking through= town, Ash begins to think about the nightmare he had.  It is interrupted by bells coming = from the two towers.

They eventually make it to the tow= ers, which provides a snazzy stadium for Pokemon Battles.  Alice gives the trio a tour of the towers.  She takes them to Tonio’s lab which is beneath the towers. They f= ind that he is passed out on the floor.

Alice picks him up, upset.  He wakes= up, and she throws him on the floor.  He tells the trio about Alice’s grandmother Alisha, giving her a photograph of her.  On the back of the photo is music.=

Pikachu stumbles upon a ro= und disk.  Alice and Tonio tell them that they are music disks.  They climb to the top of the towers to play the music.

Ash and Pikachu decide to = beat everyone else, and think they’re so clever to be so much higher then = the rest, only to find that everyone else got a ride to the top on a balloon.

Ash and Pikachu finally ma= ke it to the top, via the stairs.

Dawn places the music disk into a larger wheel as Alice pulls down = a crank, which causes all sorts of levies and triggers to go off.  The product is a sweet melodious s= ong which is played through the bells on the towers, reaching everyone in the t= own.

They go back into town.  Ash meets with some of his new friends and engag= e in a heated Pokemon Battle.

The black abyss appears again, and Dialga and Palkia continue their struggles.  Tonio = notices and realizes that the disturbance seems to be coming from between dimensions.  Suddenly, above t= he and at the towers, a bright light illuminates the entire town.  The light suddenly goes away.

As Ash and his friends watch, Dar= krai appears yet again.  “Go Away,” he says.

Alberto is suddenly there, with Team Rocket taping him= .  He sends out = Likiliki to fight yet again.  In the struggle, Darkrai sends out many dark balls, se= nding many of the Pokemon in the streets into the dark void.

Ash and Pikachu chase afte= r Darkrai, only to find what appears to be the ghost of= a Pokemon.  Darkrai suddenly flashes by, Pik= achu attacks, but Darkrai evades the attack.

Alberto comes yet again, telling = Likiliki to use hyper beam on Darkrai.  Darkrai attacks though, and soon Likiliki is fast aslee= p.

The ghost-like pokemon sud= denly comes back.  And then Alberto = turns into Likiliki!

Everyone jumps back, scared as Alberto throws a fit ov= er his new body.

Back in the Pokemon = Center, Nurse Joy tries to heal the injured Pokemon.  While there, the ghosts of those Pokemon come in and out.

Suddenly, Alberto walks in, still looking like Likiliki, and demanding that Ton= io fixes him.  Team Rocket then c= arries the real Likiliki in.

Tonio concludes that the r= eal world has emerged with the dream world.&nb= sp; The ghost Pokemon ar= e being chased by something, and they can see it.  Likiliki, though is dreaming that he is Alberto, thus Alberto = is Likiliki.

Soon, villagers rush in, exclaiming that the town is surrounded by white fog.  Desp= ite all attempts though, they can’t get rid of the fog.  Ash and Pikac= hu run into the fog, hoping to find a way out, but eventually just end back to where they started.

Likiliki-Alberto gives a p= eppy speech, telling everyone that they must follow him, where they will fight <= span class=3DSpellE>Darkrai.  All of the Pokemon trainers follow.  Ash and company begin in, but just= as they begin to walk in, Alice suspects that it wasn’t Darkrai who was responsible for this.

Tonio then tells them abou= t a time when Alice and he were playing in the garden.  While playing on a cliff, it break= s, and Alice f= alls to the ground.  Darkrai suddenly appears, and carries = Alice to her safety.

Tonio rushes there to help= her, Darkrai runs away.

Alice then wakes up, thinking that Tonio saved her, a= nd gives him a large hug.

Tonio confesses to Alice a= nd the trio that he realizes that Darkrai saved Alice.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is chronicling Alberto’s journey, following the trainers, who stumble upon Dark= rai.

Underground, Tonio is investigating everything.  He watches replayes of the bright lights, and then concludes something.  He zooms= in on the video, to see a glimpse of Dialga and Palkia’s battle.

Meanwhile, the trainers are fighting Darkrai, but nothing seems to work as Darkrai is much too powerful.  Darkrai instructs, “Do not interfere!”

He then again sends out black orbs, putting Pokemon to sleep.

Team Rocket are having a blast, watching everyone batt= le, amazed at Darkrai’s powers.  They tell the cocky Likiliki-Alberto to fight Darkrai.  Wanting to show off, he does so, a= nd wraps his long tongue around Darkrai, who shoot= s him and Team Rocket off into the air.

Back in the lab, Tonio sho= ws them the image of Palkia.  Ash Palkia as the one in his dream, and Brock seems to know what it was too.

Tonio explains that Palkia and Dialga’s<= /span> struggle was being watched by Darkrai, and real= ize that Darkrai was really telling Palkia to go away, and that the entire struggle was between those two.  Everyone then understands that Palkia was hidden in an invisible orb between the two towers.

They watch Darkrai’s= futile attempt to attack Palkia, but nothing seems to work.  Instead, Palkia awakens, and puts the entire city in darkness.

The ghost-like Pokemon ret= urn to their bodies, and Alberto turns back to his natu= ral human form.

Tonio tells them how the t= own is now floating in another dimension.  <= /span>Palkia was now loose, and shows signs of weakness.  The orb in his body shows cracks a= s it fights off Darkrai.

Suddenly, fire is blasted from the black sky, and Dialga appears, fighting off Pal= kia.  In their struggle, many buildings = are destroyed.

Tonio tells that how Dialga was set to govern all time.  Dialga= then screeched, and waves went through the town.  Tonio concludes that Palkia was trying to hide from <= span class=3DSpellE>Dialga, and that was why Palkia<= /span> was there.  He realizes that t= he two should have had never met (space and time).  And then that Darkrai had given Godi visions of the future through dr= eams.

The two continue to fight, their energy off the charts= .  Their power is so strong, that all= of the buildings begin to deteriorate.

Alice, who is so disturbed by it all, runs into the mi= ddle of it, and orders them to stop fighting.&n= bsp; They try to hurt her, but Darkrai protec= ts her.  They however, then aim t= owards fighting Darkrai, who dail= s in stopping them.  He falls in= to the garden below, and the gang rushes to find him.

Alice stands before the injured Darkrai, placing her = hand on him, he mistakens her for her grandmother, Alisha.  She corrects him by t= elling him that she is Alisha.  He th= en leaves and reenters the fight.

Now, the town is deteriorating more than ever.  Its perimeter wall has begun to collapse, and the villagers take chaotic notice, trying to escape being eat= en away as well.

Tonio recalls the diary en= try about Arasion.=   It turned out that Alic= e knew of Alasion, and said that it was the song = on the back of the photo, the one she often played herself.

Inside the towers, Alice recalls her grandmother playing the tune for her, and tells her how Arasion means prayer.  While looking at a painting on the wall, she identifies which music = disk is the one with Arasion.

Alice releases Chimchar, getting ready to take off to= place the music disk into the music player in the towers.

Meanwhile, Brock and Nurse Joy are trying to take peop= le in safety.  Brock worries for Ash= and Dawn though, as they are not trying to evacuate, but get into the towers.

Ash and friends fly high in the balloons, trying to re= ach the top of the tower.  But the= fight between Dialga and Palkia<= /span> hits them, and Dawn falls out of the balloon, but lands safely on a platfor= m, same with Ash.  Tonio and Alice, however are hit once again in the balloon, and fall into the garden.  Below, Alberto tries = to protect her, but ultimately fails, and Tonio is= able to save her, with the help of Chimchime.

Suddenly, the park begins to deteriorate as well, and = now everything is disappearing faster than ever.

Meanwhile, Ash and Dawn struggle to climb up the rest = of the tower, into the music room.

In the garden, Brock finds a hurt Darkrai in the pond.  Everyone gathers around.  Alice tries to comfort Darkrai, who has a flashback of Alisha trying to comfort him as well.

As Ash and Dawn try to make their way up, the tower st= airs begin to go away as well.  The= y use their beezil and bunary to make ice steps though, and continue on upward.

In the sky, Dialga and Palkia continue to fight.

Darkrai continues to remem= ber his experience with Alisha, where she invites him to stay in the garden.

Dialga and Palkia fight yet again.  Tonio watches and realizes that if the two collide on= e more time, their dimension will be gone forever.  At that, Dark= rai gets up and fights yet again.  This time, he is able to encompass the two Pokemon i= n a large black sphere, blocking the explosions that were coming from Dialga and Palkia.

Ash and Dawn continue to struggle to make it to the to= p, nearly falling off in the process.

Unfortunatley, Darkrai’s void doesn’t last long, and Dialga and Palkia slowly escape.

Everyone watches Darkrai c= ry and then slowly drift away.  All s= eems as if he has died, as Alice cries for him.

At last, Ash and Dawn make it to the top of the tower,= only to find that the music disk won’t fit into the music player.  They quickly conclude that they we= re placing the disk into the wrong slot.  They put it in, and start the lever, but nothing happens.  The power was dead, and then, then everything around them begins to deteriorate.

Pachurisu and Pikachu use their thunderbolt, however, and charge up the mechanism.

The town is nearly gone.

The jolt from Pikachu and = Pachurisu was enough to get the music going, and soon= the town is ringing with the song of Arasion.  The towers begin to glow, and many levers fall from all sorts of openings from the towers, giving it the appearance of beautiful and magnificent glowing wings, and soon the towers = look like the Arasion Pokemon.

Dialga and Palkia seem to call it a truce.  Dialga leaves, Palkia how= ever, stays behind.  Pleading for everything to be restored, Ash and Dawn convince Palki= a to restore things to its natural order.&nb= sp; Soon, the village is back on the island, and all is well.

Later, everyone finds themselves on a balcony, overloo= king the garden.  Tears swell up in= Alice’s eyes= , as she remembers Darkrai’s service to them.

Ash and his friends soon begin to cry as well, as they realize their mistake in acussing Darkrai for being evil.  As Ash walks = away, a shadow slowly emerges on the side of a mountain, not too far off.  It is Darkrai= , who stands proudly on the very top of the two towers.

Everyone rejoices.&nb= sp; Alice is so happy, that she rests leaning on Tonio.

The End.
